OFFICER CANDIDATE SCHOOL

Success requires solid leadership. Despite what you might have been told, leadership is not a gift; it is a skill. Like all skills it must be practiced, studied and refined. Becoming and remaining a good leader requires dedication to constant improvement.

This is what being an officer in the Army National Guard means. And Officer Candidate School is how you can start the journey. If this is a commitment you want to make, and you meet the following requirements, contact a career counselor to find out if you qualify.

- Applicants must have at least 60 semester hours from an accredited college or university prior to OCS enrollment.

- Minimum age is 18 years.

- Maximum age for appointment is 30 years of age. A waiver is required for applicants over the age of 30.

- Applicants must meet the mental, physical and moral requirements.

- Applicants must enlist for a minimum of 3 years.
